April Lynn Kuchta is the fugitive of the week.
The U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force is looking for Kuchta, who is wanted by Porter County authorities for escape and for failure to comply with community transition program guidelines in an intimidation with a deadly weapon case.
Kuchta, 19, who has an extensive criminal history, was released from the women’s prison onto electronic home monitoring, but she cut off the monitoring device and hasn’t been seen since.
Kuchta is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. Her last known address is in the 500 block of Glenwood Hills in Valparaiso, but she frequents areas in Lake and LaPorte counties.
Anyone with information on Kuchta’s whereabouts may contact task force investigators by calling toll-free (888) 805-6119 or by texting “capture” to Tip411 (847411). All tipsters will remain anonymous.
