A Gary woman is in critical condition after she was ejected from her vehicle in a Saturday evening crash on Interstate 65.
Around 9:55 p.m., Indiana State Police investigators said Jennelle P. Taylor, 27, was heading south on I-65 near the 15th Avenue exit when she drifted off onto the right shoulder for unknown reasons. Taylor overcorrected and crossed all the southbound lanes, went off the road into the median, where her 1998 Honda Accord rolled four or five times. Taylor was ejected out the driver’s side window; she was not wearing a seatbelt and was alone in the car. Alcohol is believed to be a factor
Taylor suffered life-threatening injuries to her body and head, and she was taken to Methodist Hospital Northlake.
