Job fairs: Davis Staffing and the City of Hammond will host job fairs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 2 and 9, at the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 S. Sohl Ave. More than 200 positions are available with auto industry suppliers. Applicants can also apply online at www.davis-staffing.com. The positions include production, assembly and material handlers. Applicants must be willing and available to work long hours and weekends. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of six months of manufacturing experience. Applicants must bring a current résumé , high school diploma or general equivalency diploma certificate, a state-issued photo ID, and be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.
