Fifty-three people represented the Diocese of Gary at the 39th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 23. The Rev. Theodore J. Mens, pro-life director for the Diocese of Gary, and members of St. Mary Church in Griffith, including eighth-graders, members of St. Patrick’s Church Youth Group in Chesterton and others from Northwest Indiana marched on the Capitol and met with legislators and staff. Before the march, the group attended the Archdiocese of Washington Youth Rally and Mass at the D.C. Armory with more than 10,000 other youths from across America. | Photo provided
