Horizons exhibit: The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority is accepting digital submissions for the third annual Horizons photography exhibit through June. The exhibit opens Thursday, Aug. 2, and runs through September at the Indiana Welcome Center, W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall, 7770 Corinne Drive.

Summer reading program: The “Goodies for Grown-Ups Adult Summer Reading Program” runs Monday, June 18, through Wednesday, July 25, at the main branch of the East Chicago Public Library, 2401 E. Columbus Drive, and also at the Pastrick Branch, 1008 W. Chicago Ave. Registration begins Monday, June 18. Participants receive one raffle ticket for every book checked out and read. The program concludes with a Goodie Party at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at the main branch, including refreshments and the drawing. For more details, call Debra Powers, 397-2453 Ext. 24.
