School supply drive: Many Portage Township families need help with preparing their children to return to school in the way of required supplies. The Portage Township Trustee’s office is again asking for local businesses, churches, nonprofit organizations and citizens to collect monetary donations and school supplies for these kids in need, with the goal of helping every Portage Township child who needs assistance this year. Donations are accepted through July. For a list of needed supplies or to make a donation, call 762-1623, Ext. 31.
