HIGHLAND
Marching Band Open Invitational Music Festival: The Highland High School Band Boosters will sponsor their first band festival, featuring several area high school bands, at Highland High School, 9135 Erie St., starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Proceeds will help pay for uniforms, equipment repair and other expenses. Tickets are $5 per person.

Rededication ceremony: The Chamber of Commerce will rededicate its office building, the old Pennsy Railroad Station at 1001 Lillian St., from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. Bean soup, bratwurst and drinks will be served. Reservations are required; call 942-5774.
