Literary luncheon: The Friends of the Crown Point Community Library will present its first Literary Luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the First United Methodist Church, 352 S. Teen nights: Teen nights for seventh- and eighth-graders will run from 7:15 to 10 Fridays, Oct. 12 and 19, Nov. 2 and 16, and Dec. 7 and 21, at the Griffith YMCA, 201 N. Griffith Blvd. The cost is $5 for members and $8 for nonmembers. Activities include gym time, wellness center, game room, music and fun with adult chaperones. “Bags for Butterflies” tourney: The Tri-Town Safety Village Butterfly Habitat beanbag tournament starts at noon Saturday, Oct. 13, at Amarillo Roadhouse, 1924 U.S. 41.
