Library offers e-readers: Ten Nook Simple Touch e-readers with GlowLights have been added to the Westchester Public Library and may be checked out at the Thomas Branch, 200 W. Indiana Ave. The readers are limited to Westchester Township adult patrons with library cards in good standing. Each reader contains 20 to 25 titles and is updated monthly. There are no renewals or hold requests permitted. A $160 charge will be assessed if the reader is lost or damaged. Call 926-7696.

Computer classes: The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Porter County is offering classes to senior citizens and veterans who have never used a computer. The fee is $5 for all four classes, which meet at 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, 1005 Campbell St. Call 464-1028.
