Inaugural celebration: The official dedication of the Marshall J. Gardner Center starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at 563 S. Lake St., with a champagne reception. An art exhibit entitled “TBD: To Be Designed,” will be displayed from 6 to 10 at the center for one night only as part of the seventh Pop-Up Art Exhibit. Dedication ceremony: The former Miller Drugs, 540 S. Lake St., will be dedicated as a cultural gathering place for the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Chinese musicians will perform: Several premier college and high school musicians from China will perform at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the Wirt-Emerson Visual and Performing Arts Academy auditorium, 210 N. Grand Blvd. The program will end with the Wirt-Emerson orchestra joining them for a finale piece. The event is free and open to the public.
