Design excellence: The Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce Landscape and Architectural Committee is accepting nominations for the 2012 Awards for Excellence in Landscaping and Architecture. Recipients will honored during a luncheon Friday, Dec. 14, at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake. The public is invited to nominate building sites or community projects with exceptional design or positive community impact. The deadline is Friday, Oct. 26.
