Home foreclosure assistance: The Community Development and the Northwest Indiana Reinvestment Alliance sponsor a foreclosure assistance event from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the Genesis Convention Center, 1 Genesis Plaza. Energy assistance program: Gary Neighborhood Services is offering federally funded utility energy assistance for low-income families and individuals starting Monday, Nov. 5, at 300 W. 21st Ave. Eligible households must be at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty level.
