Masquerade ball: The Miller Citizens Corp. holds the second annual masquerade ball at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Marquette Park Pavilion, 1 N. Grand Blvd. Tickets, at $55, include an open bar, food and entertainment. Attire is dressy with masks in keeping with the masquerade theme. Gun buyback program: The police department’s gun buyback program is being held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Those who turn in guns receive Wal-Mart gift cards (while supplies last). Drop-off locations are: Moving in the Spirit Church Ministries, 4031, W. 11th Ave.; Grace Unity Church of God in Christ, 3435 W. 21st Ave.; Marquette Park United Methodist Church, 215 N.
