Christmas assistance: The Salvation Army Porter County Corps Community Center is accepting Christmas applications from people who need help with food, clothing and toys for the 2012 Christmas season. Porter County residents must apply in person from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. through Friday, Nov. 9, at The Salvation Army, 799 Capitol Road, South Haven. Do not bring children. Space is limited and there is no child care available. For required information and identification, call 762-9191.

Wellness exams and immunizations: Community HealthNet is offering free wellness exams
and immunizations along with Medi-caid screening to members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana through 2014.
