Whiting Mayor Joe Stahura (from left), Paint the Town Pink cofounder Stephanie Madison and City of Whiting Events Coordinator Norb Dudzik recently presented a donation of $7,700 to Tony Andello, director of the Cancer Resource Centre. Paint the Town Pink is a month-long event held in May to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and treatment. Whiting activities included a Breast Cancer Walk, fundraisers at schools and businesses, and a “Crush Cancer” fundraiser during Cruise Night.
