Watercolor workshop: Kathy Los-Rathburn will lead a winter-Christmas watercolor workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Chesterton Art Center, 115 S. 4th St. Students will paint a birch scene and Christmas cards. Materials will be provided; the cost is $25. Call 926-4711.

Penny-a-ton: The IU Dons and Donnettes have launched a penny-a-ton fundraiser for those in need. The goal is to raise a ton of pennies or the equivalent of $3,000. A radio-athon on WLTH-1370 AM is planned Friday, Dec. 14. Volunteers may call Vernon Smith at 887-2046 or Kim McClarin at 885-0390.
