Tree sale: The Hobart Jaycees Christmas tree lot is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays through Saturday, Dec. 22, or until trees are sold out. Scotch and white pines are $30; Douglas firs are $40; and Fraser firs are $35, $50 or $60. The lot is at the Jaycee Clubhouse, 18 E. Old Ridge Road.

OE receives grant: Opportunity Enterprises received a $5,000 grant from the Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Round Up. The grant will be used to support technology initiatives for adults with disabilities at the Lakeside property on the shores of Lake Eliza, currently under construction.
