Toy drive: Overhead Door Company of Northwest Indiana seeks donations for a Christmas toy drive. Collected items go to Toys for Tots of Lake County and to Fieler Elementary School. Tax aides sought: Orientation for new AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers is being held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Schererville Town Hall, 10 E. Joliet St. Volunteers prepare free tax returns for seniors and low- and moderate-income taxpayers at several sites in Lake and Porter counties.
