City Tour of Lights: Reservations are being taken for Polar Express storytelling and City Tour of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Crown Point Civic Center, 101 S. East St. Storytelling of the Polar Express will start at the top of each hour from 4 to 8 p.m. Tour of Lights buses will depart every hour on the half-hour, starting at 4:30 p.m. Registration is required; call 662-3290. Those interested in entering their houses on the Tour of Lights route also should call to register.
GRIFFITH
Visit Santa: The Griffith Historical Society offers the annual “Santa in the Caboose” program from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Griffith Historical Park, 201 S. Broad St. Families can visit privately with Santa in a real railroad caboose. Digital photo packages and holiday baked goods will be sold. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served, and kids’ barrel train rides will be available, weather permitting.
