Gingerbread fun: Kids can build and decorate a gingerbread house to keep at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Bellaboo’s Play and Discovery Center at Three Rivers County Park, 2800 Colorado St. The session is free with admission. Sledding hills: When snow permits, sledding hills are open through March at Oak Ridge Prairie and Lemon Lake County parks. There is a gate fee when the gatekeeper is on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring you own tube or plastic sled. No metal or wood sleds with runners or ski boards allows. Christmas with animals: The Humane Society Calumet Area is accepting donations for Christmas with the Animals being held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, 18, at the shelter, 421 45th St. Donations of toys, treats, blankets, beds, etc., for dogs, cats and rabbits are needed.
