Applications accepted: The Schererville Town Council is accepting applications to fill the vacancies on the Park Board, Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and Police Commission. Christmas time at the Brauer: The Brauer Museum of Art and the South Shore Youth Orchestra will host a special open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the museum, 1709 Chapel Drive.
