Everyone watches “Dancing with the Stars.” But there is a new show in downtown Valpo called “Drinking at the Bars.”
I’d like to say hurray to the NIPSCO men who came out here to Sullivan Street in Inland Manor and fixed all the streetlights. Thank you very much. The neighborhood’s a lot brighter now.
The new garbage collectors would not take a plastic bag out of a tipped over garbage can. The old workers would come in my yard and get the garbage can when I forgot to put it out on trash day.
You know the Merrillville
police and the Crown Point police are going to have to
start cracking down on these Indiana people with their Illinois license plates. Come on, an ’88 Oldsmobile or a 2000 Honda are not company cars from Illinois.
I have waited on Ken Bryan of Portage, who will be 103 years old, at Peggy Sue’s diner in Chesterton and he is one of the most pleasant people I have ever waited on. I wish more people would be like him. What a great guy. Congratulations Ken.
