Developmental preschool: Registration for the developmental preschool program is under way at the Hobart Family YMCA, 601 W. 40th Place. A $60 nonrefundable registration fee, along with birth certificate and immunization records, are requested upon registration. An open house is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12. Low Vision Suppport Group meeting: The Valparaiso Low Vision Support Group Inc. will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at First United Methodist church, 103 N. Franklin. The meeting is to open to the public for discussion of visual impairments of all kinds. The Porter County Aging and Community Services bus offers free door-to-door rides for the legally blind or 50 cents each way for senior citizens, and $1 each way for others. Call 462-4302 at least one day in advance to schedule a ride.
