Boosters to serenade Red Hatters: The Gentlemen of Distinction (boosters of the Classy Ladies Red Hat Society) and friends are hosting the inaugural Valentine’s Day brunch from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Roosevelt Pavilion, 2145 Harrison St. Red Hatters are going to be dined, romanced with words and music, and honored with a special tribute. Nuno felting class: Elizabeth Kozlowski offers a nuno felting class from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Chesterton Art Center, 115 S. 4th St. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Hearts of Hope: The ninth annual Hearts of Hope tree lighting ceremony is at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the west patient tower lobby of St. Mary Medical Center, 1500 S. Lake Park Ave. Cardiovascular patient Robert Ray, of Griffith, shares his personal story and lights the heart-decorated tree with lights that shine in honor of those who have been affected by cardiovascular disease.
