Nominations sought: The Influential Women of Northwest Indiana committee is accepting nominations for its third annual awards ceremony, scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Avalon Manor Banquet Center in Hobart. Nominations can be submitted for various categories, including service and tourism, healthcare, government and economic development. A full list of award categories can be found at www.nwiwomen.com.

Landscapers to meet: A Northwest Indiana Landscapers Association meeting is being held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Buddy and Pals Place, 499 E. Summit St. Meetings, held the first Wednesday monthly, are open to anyone interested in the landscaping industry in Northwest Indiana, and feature guest speakers, networking and food. Attendance is $10, payable at the door.
