Climate change workshop: The fourth installment of the Dunes Ecology Series, “Focus on Climate Change” workshop is being held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education, 100 N. Lake St. Cost is $35 including lunch and materials. The series is sponsored by the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Great Lakes Research and Education Center, Chicago Wilderness, and the Dunes Learning Center. St. Baldrick’s Day event: The Cedar Lake Fraternal Order of Eagles 2529 is holding the inaugural St. Baldrick’s Day fundraiser to raise money for cancer research Saturday, March 9, at the F.O.E., 13140 Lakeshore Drive. Doors open at noon and the head shaving begins at 1 p.m., with raffles, 50/50 drawings and T-shirts for sale. The fundraiser is scheduled to become an annual event.
