Patient Choice Award: Porter Regional Hospital is seeking to honor one of its nurses with the Patient Choice Award, which recognizes the level of quality care, comfort and compassion offered by nurses each day. Porter asks former patients and family members to nominate nurses for exceptional inpatient, outpatient or emergency care in the last year. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, May 17 at the hospital’s website at www.porterhealth.com/nominations.
New clinic: HealthLinc has received funding to open a clinic on June 1 at 100 W. Chicago Ave. In partnership with St. Catherine Hospital, it will provide primary healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured residents of East Chicago.
