Miller Beach Arts and Creative District features Wirt-Emerson Arts: Friday, May 17, 540 Lake St., performances are set to begin at 7 p.m. by the junior high school choir and a dance troupe in a tribute to Michael Davis, a recently retired and long time dance instructor at Wirt-Emerson; showing of documentary film “What We Sow,” produced by Carolyn McCrady, about the success of Wirt-Emerson over its 25 year history because of its priority for the arts. Admission is free.

Parkinson Disease style show fundraiser: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, Avalon Manor, 3550 E. U.S. Highway 30, Hobart; cost $50, includes free champagne from 5:30 to 6:30, dinner at 7 p.m. and the style show at 8:00; style show featuring women’s apparel from Elizabeth Fashions, silent auction and boutique tables, benefits Parkinson Disease, call Elizabeth Fashions at 322-8772.

Roland “Bo” Watson Red Stepper’s Affair: 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, The Hobart Elks Lodge, 3580 W. 61st Ave., Hobart, cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door, music by D.J.
