MUNSTER

Donations needed: The Salvation Army, 8225 Columbia Ave., is seeking donations to the food pantry. All items are needed, including canned fruits and vegetables, dried meals and fresh meats. Emergency food assistance is offered to individuals and families in need five days a week. For more information, call 838-0380.

HOBART

Educational health fair: St. Mary Medical Center, 1500 S. Lake Park Ave., is hosting a free community educational health fair and seminar from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20. The event spotlights the signs and symptoms of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Call 836-3477 to register.

CHESTERTON

Computer training series: Bit and Bytes continue from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Westchester Public Library, with a beginner’s entry-level class for Excel I. The free class is being held in the Berta Wood meeting room of the Thomas Library, 220 W. Indiana Ave. Registration is required,computer station are limited.
