Volunteers sought: Prospective volunteers are invited to attend a Meals on Wheels volunteer orientation and training session at the Meals on Wheels Community Room, 8446 Virginia St. One-hour sessions will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 and at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. Delivery drivers use their own vehicles to deliver meals during the lunch hour in their own community. Each delivery requires about 1½ hours. Career fair: Ivy Tech Community College Northwest Career Services is hosting a career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the campus at 3100 Ivy Tech Drive. Employers scheduled to attend include 1st Source Bank, Aflac, Alcoa Howmet LaPorte, AlliedBarton Security Services, ArcelorMittal, Country Inn and Suites, Fastenal Company, First Trust Credit Union, Franciscan St. Anthony Health, Hearthside Food Solutions, Home Helpers, JMC Steel Group, Luke Companies, Meijer, Powder Processing & Technology, St. Mary Medical Center, Tejas Tubular, U.S. Steel and Whispering Pines Health Care Center.
