Master Naturalist Program: Taltree Arboretum & Gardens will host a spring Indiana Master Naturalist program beginning Thursday. This hands-on learning experience and volunteer service opportunity teaches students about the native landscape and local wildlife of Northwest Indiana. The course includes sessions on botany, zoology, geology, water ecology and wildlife conservation. The eight-week course runs through May 22. Most classes are from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays. Staging ‘Time Stands Still’: Crown Point Community Theatre will present its production of the recent Broadway hit “Time Stands Still,” by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies. The riveting work portrays a couple grappling with the wounds of war and will be helmed by Kate Ryan and stars KeriAnne Valukis and Hal Kilgore. It will run weekends from March 28 to 30 and April 4 to 12 at the theatre’s black box theatrical space at 1125 Merrillville Road.
