Maple Syrup trip: Reservations for the Maple Syrup weekday field trips to Deep River County Park are open for first-graders through adults. Tours are offered from 9:30 to 1 p.m. March 6 through 8 and 13 through 15. Advance deposit is required ($20 minimum). Maximum per reservation is 120. Tours last two hours and are mostly outside; dress accordingly. Deep River County Park is at 9410 Old Lincoln Highway. For more information, call 769-7275.

King celebration: Purdue University Calumet, 2200 169th Street, celebrates the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Monday, Jan. 23 through Friday, Jan. 27, with a peace exhibit, race relations panel discussion, comments of participants who participated in the 1960s sit-in movement and the university’s annual convocation.
