Quickly’s Neighbors, Jan. 17

Had to laugh at the Kouts police car being hijacked by a handcuffed suspect. They have so far not explained how he did it.

Yeah, sure! Lake Station to reimburse for usage of bottled water? They can’t afford to fix the constantly broken traffic light on Central Avenue and Union Street. Besides, they have too many lawsuits against them. I’ve been using bottled water since 1985 and doubt that the EPA will do anything about it!

Gary doesn’t need a land-based casino! If Gary gets a land-based casino, then East Chicago will want one, and almost without question Indianapolis will get one! What we need here are real jobs that pay real money that people can use to buy goods and services — including going to the lakeside casinos we already have.

Who gets to pay for the hoarder’s 80 dogs? The Porter County taxpayer, of course! And they knew about her two years ago!

My mobile home park should give us some credit on our water bills. We have to drink bottled water because it’s off every two weeks. And we’re told to boil (the tap water) for those three days and when we do it tastes terrible.
