Man charged with selling heroin

The Porter County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against a Porter man in regards to an Aug. 4 heroin deal.

Dustin Robert Agent, 30, faces up to 20 years in prison on a Class B felony charge of dealing in a narcotic drug for being involved with the sale of five bags of heroin totaling 1.22 grams for $100.

According to court records, an informant set up the buy with Agent, but members of the Porter County Drug Task Force first saw Agent provide the heroin to a couple in a Chevy Blazer, and the couple made the sale.

However, Agent bragged about the quality of the heroin and admitted it was from him in a subsequent phone call.

Agent was not listed in the Porter County Jail automated system Tuesday afternoon, and court records set his possible bail at $4,500.
