Portage’s SWAT team arrested five people and found ecstasy, prescription pills and marijuana when they raided a Portage home Thursday afternoon.
Around 1:13 p.m., Portage officers served a search warrant at 2380 Sloan Ave. On Wednesday, an officer received credible information about illegal drug activity at the residence.
Upon entrance, police were overwhelmed by the smell of burnt marijuana. They arrested three adults and an unknown number of juveniles.
During the search, police found prescription pills, ecstasy, marijuana, a small marijuana growing operation, and some stolen property.
Claudia A. Sanchez, 33, was charged with neglect to a dependent, a Class D felony, and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Kyle Clay, 18, was charged with misdemeanor visiting a common nuisance.
Julian Duron, 18, was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, intimidation, strangulation and possession of drugs — all Class D felonies — along with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Two juveniles — 15 and 17 years old — were charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
