Bark for Life walk Saturday in Valpo

VALPARAISO — Area canines, with owners in tow, are hitting the track Saturday as part of the American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life event.
The walk’s opening ceremony is at 10 a.m. at Canine Country Club, 3554 Sturdy Road.
The walk continues until noon and there’s open play for dogs from noon to 3 p.m.
A Dachshund Derby will take place at 2 p.m.
The event registration fee is $10 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog per family.
A Bark For Life bandana is included in the registration fee. The bandanas will be distributed on a first come basis.
