PORTAGE — A man wearing pajamas, gloves and a hair net allegedly forced open a window to get into Portage Liquors early Saturday morning and stole tools and children’s toys.
Thomas Foley, 24, of Portage, still was in the building when officers responded to a 1:49 a.m. alarm, police said. Foley climbed back out the window and ran on foot but was apprehended when an officer used a Taser on him as Foley attempted to scale a fence.
Foley was arrested behind the business, 6643 U.S. 20, on felony charges of burglary, fleeing law enforcement and resisting arrest.
Several tools, a child’s guitar and a radio-controlled truck taken from the building were recovered outside.
