Loud truck used in mailbox vandalism

The passenger of a loud pickup truck used a baseball bat to hit a mailbox off its post at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North County Road 400E, in Washington Township. A resident of the home saw the incident and soon found and followed a pickup with a loud exhaust in the area and provided the truck’s license number to police. When police questioned its owner, he denied involvement and allowed officers to search the pickup for a bat; none was found.

Thief robbed cars in Glenwood Hills

Property was stolen from several unlocked vehicles overnight Monday in the Glenwood Hills subdivision in Center Township. Two thefts were reported in the 500 block of Lake Park Drive, one in the 500 block of Glenwood Drive and one in the 200 block of Kristin Court. The stolen items included personal electronics, clothing, cash and credit cards.
