Police nab men in separate incidents

Three men were charged with felony strangulation and other charges in separate domestic violence incidents Friday into Saturday morning.

Felony charges of neglect of a dependent, domestic battery, strangulation, criminal confinement and intimidation, and a misdemeanor charge of interfering with the reporting of a crime were filed against Cory A. Kljacic, 23, after police responded to a call in the 3100 block of Oakwood Avenue at about 11:30 a.m.

Just after midnight Saturday morning, police responded to a call in the 3200 block of Ashland Avenue where they charged Robert Schoback, 23, with felony strangulation and battery.

At 2:34 a.m. Saturday in the 5900 block of Sundance Trail, police responded to a call and charged John Cuevas Jr., 31, with felony strangulation and domestic battery and interfering with reporting a crime, a misdemeanor.

Traffic stop ends in drug arrest

A routine traffic stop at County Line Road and U.S. 6 resulted in a drug arrest.

Victor Manual Martinez-Arana, 22, was charged with felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor charges of operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and never obtaining a driver’s license, according to police reports.

Police discovered a clear plastic baggie containing cocaine, a $1 bill with a white powdery substance and a purple baggie containing marijuana.
