Truck fire on Indiana Toll Road blocks eastbound lanes
Post-Tribune staff report November 24, 2012 9:30PM
A truck fire on the eastbound Indiana Toll Road closed two lanes of traffic around 8:50 p.m. Saturday.
Occupants were evacuated from the truck with no injuries, Indiana State Police spokesman Sgt. Dan Leslie said. The truck was transporting paper products, and both the truck and trailer were in flames. It was unknown what caused the fire.
“It’s slowing down traffic pretty bad,” Leslie said.
The truck stopped near the 12.4 mile marker. Lake Station Fire Department responded to the call.
