Junior Police Academy to be offered
The Valparaiso Police Department is seeking Porter County high school students with interests in law enforcement careers for its Junior Police Academy. A limited number of spots are available for the academy, which will consist of 10, two-hour classes. Applications are at the Valparaiso Police Department, 355 S. Door may have been unlocked
Video game gear and jewelry were stolen between 3 and 7:15 p.m. Tuesday from a home in the 600 block of Osage Road. The back door may have been left unlocked, a victim told police, and the family dog got out of the house during the incident, although it remained in the front yard.
