VALPARAISO — The city Plan Commission adopted the 30-year plan for Porter County Regional Airport on Tuesday.
The plan goes to City Council for approval, and county planner Bob Thompson is expected to present it today to the Porter County Plan Commission for its approval.
Valparaiso city planner Tyler Kent said the 300-page document was created by the city, county and airport board as a way of controlling growth and promoting development.
“There’s no plan to expand the airport. It’ll remain as is,” Kent said.
The plan is available at www.ci.valparaiso.in.us/DocumentCenter/View/2373.
