VALPARAISO -- “The Concrete Finisher” has once again been returned to Industrial Revolution .
The $10,000 pewter statue was stolen last week from outside the front door of the restaurant, at 1084 Linwood Ave. On Monday afternoon, police said, they received a tip the statue had been seen in the area of Ransom and Froberg roads, northeast of the city. Police found the statue there and returned it, undamaged, to the restaurant. Officers continue to investigate the theft.
The same statue, depicting a man on his hands and knees using a trowel, previously was stolen in November 2010 and returned to a nearby property about a month later.
