VALPARAISO — A man suspected in three previous armed robberies in Valparaiso targeted the Save gas station Wednesday, police said.

Valparaiso Police were called at 5:57 p.m. to the station at 908 N. Roosevelt Road, just south of Evans Avenue.

The store clerk told police a man with a dark complexion, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, showed a semi-automatic handgun while demanding cash. The robber wore the same clothing as the previous crimes — a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a diamond or star on it, dark-colored pants, white shoes and a mask and gloves, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call (800) 782-7463.

There is a reward. Individuals also can contact police anonymously by texting a tip to 847-411; enter the keyword “Valpo” prior to sending a message.
