A South Haven man was arrested Friday in connection with a state police investigation of child pornography.

Vincent C. Hix, 48, of the 300 block of Keystone in South Haven, was taken to Porter County Jail in Valparaiso and charged with one count of child exploitation, a Class C felony, and one count of possession of child pornography, a Class D felony.

Detectives with the Indiana State Police Crimes Against Children Unit, and a detective and trooper assigned to the Lowell District, executed a search warrant at Hix’s home.

The warrant was issued for allegations of using an Internet connection to distribute images and videos depicting child pornography.

The North Zone Mobile Forensic Vehicle was used and evidence was recovered during a forensic preview of digital devices and media found at the home, a news release said.
