I guess the Valparaiso school system’s rainy day fund just got hit by one heck of a tidal wave. At least you were able to sneak in some raises before the boom was lowered. That’s gonna leave a mark!

I think the Quickly about the Portage streets not being plowed was incorrect. I was thinking that morning how nice it was to see all the plows out, and how the streets were in great shape.

I would like to congratulate the young man who has been cleaning along 7th Avenue and Gerry Street in Gary. Sometimes you see him cleaning up along 25th Avenue and Burr Street in Gary. And he just does this on his own. I just want to give a shout-out to this young man. Pay close attention to it people, because this is what the world is all about.

If Portage is designing its roundabout the same as the Valparaiso roundabouts, I have some bad news for you: They are built wrong. Contact South Bend, theirs are built correctly.

If the Crown Point police want to make some extra money, they should ticket all those who do not stop for pedestrians crossing to the library.
