Hobart representatives implied that outsiders aren’t coming downtown because they didn’t know where it is. Maybe they don’t come because they don’t want to look at the filth along the curbs, sidewalks and city-owned flower boxes. Clean the curbs, flower boxes and ask store owners to sweep the sidewalks in front of their businesses before you let people know where you are.

People in Black Oak: Why do you keep dumping your couches, chairs, mattresses and whatever along the road and in the ditches? Allied Waste will pick it up. All you have to do is call them. Their phone number is 662-8600.

I’m simply in the turning lane to turn onto Rand Street, I am not trying to race to cut you off! This happens every day! LOL, enjoy wasting your gas as you stomp on the pedal.

Last night there was a fight at a restaurant in Gary. It lasted about 10 minutes and the police never showed. Both participants left the area before officers arrived. What’s going on with Gary police? You have to be there to stop the violence.

Gary’s new “Good Deeds” campaign is a great idea. Everyone needs to become involved in order to see a change. You can’t just sit around and wait for those at City Hall to perform miracles. This is a great initiative.
