Quickly’s Neighbors, Feb. 8

Updated: March 9, 2012 8:06AM

I would like to thank
Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson
for giving us light on 25th Avenue from Broadway all the way to Monroe. The other lights will be on soon I was told. We have been without lights for the last three years.

What a waste of time the Valparaiso School Board meeting was Thursday.
They brought in an expert at who knows what cost to explain to us that the schools no longer get as much money from the state. All you have to do is read the papers to
realize that is the case. I would hope the School Board and our superintendent would have been a little bit more on top of things and not have to bring in an expert to explain this.

Porter County just nixed the solar farm planned for Union Township. Could somebody please explain to me what kind of noise a solar farm makes?

You still have the problems with Karen Freeman-Wilson’s administration as you did the Rudy Clay administration. You can’t get junk picked up.

Let the developers that keep cramming in more houses and bringing more people into Valparaiso pay the additional funds the School Board feels they need. Why should we property owners always have to pay? Maybe Jon Costas would chip in some money for all his efforts in growing Valparaiso.
