That Clint Eastwood commercial was for Chrysler, not GM. GM is just about finished paying back its “loan” — not “bailout”) and Fiat (which has control of Chrysler) is working on it. Obviously, you hold contempt toward the American auto workers whose jobs were saved.

The person who made the comment that any union member who decided not to pay dues would be subject to retribution is not a union member. I think he thinks unions are thugs, just like you do, and that was the point he was trying to make. Guess it went over your head.

The reason politicians try so hard to get re-elected is, they would hate making a living at a real job under the laws they have passed.

Lawmakers in Indiana want to allow union benefits to workers not paying dues. Would they represent citizens if we refused to pay state taxes or sales tax? If the answer is “yes,” they should not be cashing their paychecks.

A person can belong to a union shop and freeload on everyone else. Is there anything in the law that says the union can’t post a list at the work place identifying who is a member and who is a freeloader?

The speed limit on the Toll Road through Lake County has been raised to 70 mph. If you can’t read the signs or just don’t want to do the speed limit, get in the right lane and stay out of the way. Stop trying to “enforce” a speed limit that no longer exists.

To all the smokers: You have the right to smoke, but I have the right to breathe smoke-free air! Why? Because you were not born with a cigarette in your mouth. You made the bad choice, not me, so my right trumps your right. Get over it!
