Why the uproar over teaching creationism in public schools? It can be taught in one paragraph, in a textbook, with two minutes of comment by a teacher.

Teaching creationism in school is no different than teaching about non-Christian religions in world history class. It is not there to convert, but to inform the student of the different ideas of how the world began. If you can’t see that, then you are pretty ignorant and need some further education.

An author of children’s books needs to write a story called “The Winter That Wasn’t.”

The Democratic leader for Lake County needs to start weeding out these so-called Democrats who really are nothing more than closet Republicans.

What is it so difficult to understand the secretary of state case? He is guilty; move on. The problem is, the Republicans don’t want to give up control. Too bad. When you commit a crime, you lose your power.

Any politician who commits a crime should be ousted at once. I never defend crooks, even if they belong to my party of choice. Guilty is guilty.

So $320 million has been cut from the Department of Family and Social Services budget since 2009. That pretty much says it all. You cannot properly provide a safe haven for abused and neglected children when you don’t have proper funding.

Breast-feeding is about feeding my baby the most nutritious meal possible. When was the last time you ate your lunch under a hot blanket or in a public restroom?

I’ve heard there are wolves in Northwest Indiana. I really don’t think it’s true, but could you find out if this true?
